How does Homebox set up my internet and when will it be ready?

Homebox orders your internet with your supplier. Your start date, router, and activation details are confirmed within 1-2 working days.

When you sign up for internet through Homebox, we place your order with your chosen supplier — either Home Unity or Virgin Media. For Home Unity, they may contact you to confirm your personal details before processing your order.

Usually, within 1-2 working days after your order is accepted, the supplier will confirm your official start date. This is the date your service will go live.

Your router will arrive a couple of days before your start date, so you can have everything ready for installation.

Depending on your property and supplier requirements, the activation may be:

  • Remote activation: Your internet will be activated automatically and you don’t need to be home. Simply plug in the router on your activation date and you're all set.

  • Engineer visit: The supplier will schedule a visit, and you will need to be at home for installation.

Note: Homebox always books the soonest available start date to get your internet active as quickly as possible.

Tip: Keep an eye on your email for updates from your supplier about your start date and any engineer visits.
