How do I set up my energy with Homebox?
Homebox switches your energy to our chosen supplier, usually within two weeks, so you are on the correct tariff.
When you move into a new home, the property may still be supplied by the energy provider chosen by the previous occupier. Your energy could be with any supplier at this point.
As part of your Homebox package, we’ll switch your energy to one of our chosen suppliers. This ensures you’re on the correct tariff and allows us to calculate your energy charges accurately.
Timeframe:
This switching process usually takes around two weeks. During this period, you may receive a bill from the previous supplier.
Action required:
If you receive a bill from the previous supplier, please upload it to your Homebox dashboard. This allows us to action the bill and ensure your account is up to date.
Tip: Check your dashboard regularly to see when your energy has been transferred to your Homebox supplier. Uploading any bills promptly helps avoid delays in setting up your account.
Note: Your energy supply is active from your tenancy move-in date, even while the switch is being processed.
