Can my internet activation date be sooner?

Your internet activation date is set to the soonest available appointment with the supplier or engineer and cannot be moved earlier.

When you order internet through Homebox with Home Unity or Virgin Media, your activation date is set according to the supplier’s live availability. This includes engineer appointments, if one is required, and standard lead times managed by Openreach or Virgin Media.

Suppliers operate a live waiting list for engineers and installations. Homebox always books the soonest available date for your address, taking into account your location, property type, and service requirements.

Note: Because the date is based on the supplier’s schedule and the live waiting list, it cannot be moved forward. This ensures the installation or activation is completed correctly and safely.

Tip: Check your emails for any updates from your supplier. If your property doesn’t require an engineer, some activations may be completed remotely, which can be faster.

Tip: If you need internet urgently, you can consider options like temporary mobile broadband, but your supplier’s start date will still be the official activation.
