What happens to my Homebox account when I move out?

You do not need to contact Homebox when you move out. Once your building management confirms your move-out date and provides your final meter readings, we will prepare your final bill and close your account.

Details

Do I need to contact Homebox when I move out?

In most cases, no. Your building management team will confirm your move-out date and provide Homebox with your final meter readings.

Once we receive this information, we will calculate your final bill and close your Homebox account.

When will I receive my final bill?

Your final bill is produced after Homebox receives your confirmed move-out date and final meter readings from your building management team.

The bill will include all charges up to the end of your tenancy.

Note: We cannot produce your final bill until we have received your final meter readings.

What if I owe money?

If your final bill shows an outstanding balance, Homebox will contact you with details of how to make payment.

What if my account is in credit?

If your final bill shows your account is in credit, any refund will be processed in line with your building's agreed refund procedure.

The refund process may vary depending on your building or landlord.

Tip: If you are unsure how refunds are handled for your building, please contact your building management team or Homebox Support.
