How does Homebox set up my TV licence?

Homebox sets up your TV licence within around 5 working days. Payments are taken automatically from your Homebox wallet.

When you join Homebox, we arrange your TV licence for you so you’re fully covered to watch or record live TV or use BBC iPlayer in the UK. You don’t need to contact TV Licensing directly as we handle it all on your behalf.

The setup usually takes around 5 working days to complete. Once processed, your TV licence is activated immediately, and we’ll set up the Direct Debit with TV Licensing using your Homebox wallet.

Your regular Homebox Direct Debit funds your wallet, and payments for your TV licence are then made automatically from this balance. This means you never need to worry about missing a payment or setting up another Direct Debit yourself.

Note: You won’t receive a separate confirmation email from TV Licensing. Homebox receives this directly and keeps your account up to date.

If you move home in the future, we’ll update your TV licence details for you so your coverage continues without interruption.
