Can I get my internet activated sooner?
Your internet activation date is booked based on availability in a live waiting list, meaning it’s scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. The main network provider, Openreach, handles activations for most broadband suppliers in the UK, so the date you’re given is the earliest possible slot available.
Why can’t my activation date be sooner?
Broadband activations depend on engineer availability. Openreach is responsible for managing the network used by most UK providers, meaning all major broadband companies – including us – work within the same scheduling system.
Here’s how activation dates are set:
- First-come, first-served basis: Your booking is placed in a live queue, and the next available appointment is assigned.
- Openreach engineer availability: If an engineer visit is needed, the earliest slot depends on Openreach’s workload in your area.
- Self-install vs. engineer visit: If no engineer is needed, your activation may happen remotely, but still follows the same scheduling process.
💡 Tip: If an earlier slot becomes available due to a cancellation, we’ll do our best to move your appointment forward. However, we can’t guarantee this.
Can I speed up the process?
While we can’t override the scheduling system, here’s what you can do:
- Check your emails and messages: If there’s a delay or an earlier slot becomes free, we’ll contact you.
- Ensure your details are correct: Double-check that your address and contact details are up to date to avoid any processing delays.
- Prepare for your activation: If you need to install equipment, have everything ready to go so your service is up and running as soon as it's activated.
⚠️ Warning: Cancelling and rebooking your installation won’t get you a sooner date – it may actually push your activation further back.
If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us. We’ll always keep you updated on the progress of your installation.
