How does my first payment work with Homebox?
Homebox charges for bills in advance. Your first payment covers the first 30 days of your tenancy, and we’ll take it within the first 14 days. You can choose to be charged on the 1st, 8th, 15th, or 25th of the month.
Your first Homebox payment may be taken earlier than your usual monthly payment date.
Because we charge in advance, the first payment is collected within the first 14 days of your tenancy, even if you asked for payments to come out at the end of the month or on a later preferred billing date.
If your first payment bounced or didn’t come out on the date you expected, the information below explains how first-month billing works.
How does my first payment work with Homebox?
When you join Homebox, we charge your bill payments in advance. This means your first payment covers the next 30 days of services from the start of your tenancy, not from the date you make the payment.
We’ll take your first payment within the first 14 days of your tenancy start date. For your convenience, you can choose your preferred payment date — the 1st, 8th, 15th, or 25th of the month.
For example:
If your tenancy started on 10 October and you made your first payment of £300 on 12 October, that payment covers the period from 10 October to 9 November.
This approach ensures your bills are always paid in advance, keeping your services active and avoiding any missed payments.
Tip: You can change your payment date if needed. To do this, please email support@homebox.co.uk or message us on WhatsApp at +44 735 300 2806 and our team will help adjust your billing schedule.
Note: Your payment schedule is set up to keep your services running smoothly, so it’s best to let us know at least five days before your next payment if you’d like to make any changes.
