How do I set up Council Tax with Homebox?
Homebox can add Council Tax to your account. Timeframes vary by council, exemptions may apply, and the amount depends on your property band.

Property band and amount:
The amount you pay is based on the band your property is placed in, which reflects the value of your home. Higher-value properties generally pay higher Council Tax rates.
Notifying the council:
Once added, we will contact your local council to notify them of your details. If you have already received a bill from the council, please upload it to your Homebox dashboard so we can manage it for you.
Timeframes:
Each council has different timeframes for issuing invoices. Council Tax is charged for the period April to March, and most councils expect payment over 10 months.
Tip: Keep an eye on your dashboard to see when your Council Tax has been added or actioned. Upload any bills promptly to avoid delays in managing your payments.
