How does Dandi water billing work?

Dandi properties use a bulk water meter, and tenants are charged a set monthly price. At the end of the tenancy, Dandi reconciles the actual water usage and provides a statement. If the tenant has overpaid, they’ll be refunded.

Understanding Dandi water billing

Dandi properties operate on a bulk metering system, which means all water usage is measured through a single meter for the entire building. Here’s how the billing process works:

  • Monthly set price: Tenants are charged a fixed monthly amount for water usage throughout their tenancy. This simplifies billing and ensures consistency.

  • End of tenancy reconciliation: When the tenancy ends, Dandi reviews the total water usage against the set monthly payments.

  • Usage statement and refunds: Dandi provides a detailed statement showing the actual water usage. If a tenant has paid more than their usage, they’ll receive a refund.

📢 Tip: Keep a record of your payments and review the final statement carefully to ensure accuracy.

⚠️ Important: Refunds are only issued if actual usage is less than the total amount paid during the tenancy.
