How to upload a bill to your account
You can upload bills to your Homebox Dashboard by selecting Postal Bills and using the upload option. Make sure you upload clear scans or photos of every page of your bill.
How to upload your bill
To upload a bill to your Homebox account:
-
Log in to your Homebox Dashboard.
-
Go to Postal Bills in the left-hand menu.
-
Click Upload Postal or E-Bill.
-
Drag and drop your file into the box, or click to select a file from your computer or phone.
-
Choose the correct Group (for example: Council Tax, Internet, TV Licence, Water, Heat Billing, or Renewable Energy).
-
Add a comment if you’d like to include extra details (this step is optional).
-
Click Upload Bill to finish.
📘 Note: You can only upload one file at a time. If you have more than one bill, please upload them separately.
Best practice for uploading bills
To make sure your bill is processed quickly:
-
✅ Upload every page of your bill (front and back if applicable).
-
✅ Use PDF, JPEG, or PNG formats — PDF is preferred.
-
✅ Check that all pages are clear and readable before uploading.
-
✅ Include any pages with account numbers, meter readings, or payment details.
Recommended free scanner apps
If your bill is on paper, use a free scanning app to convert it into a PDF before uploading:
-
Adobe Scan (iOS & Android)
-
Microsoft Lens (iOS & Android)
-
Google Drive Scanner (Android only)
These apps automatically crop and enhance the image so your bill is easier to read.
What happens next
Once uploaded, your bill will be reviewed by our Operations team — usually within one week.
