Why has my internet price changed?
Every April, Homebox internet prices increase by £2 per month. This small change reflects national cost adjustments passed on from network suppliers in line with inflation (CPI).
Why the price changes
Each year, our internet suppliers review their pricing to reflect increases in their operating and wholesale network costs, such as infrastructure, maintenance, and support services.
These suppliers, including Home Unity and Virgin Media — apply an annual price adjustment that follows the Consumer Price Index (CPI), a government measure of inflation.
As a result, your monthly internet charge increases by £2 each April. This helps cover the rising costs passed on from the network suppliers to Homebox customers and ensures we can continue providing reliable, high-quality broadband without service disruption.
How this affects your Homebox package
-
The £2 monthly increase applies to all internet plans, regardless of speed or supplier.
-
The change takes effect automatically from April each year.
-
You don’t need to take any action and the new amount will appear in your Homebox Dashboard and your next bill summary.
📘 Tip: You can review your full package and payment breakdown at any time in your Dashboard under Payments.
Why this is industry standard
Most broadband providers in the UK adjust their prices each year in line with RPI or CPI to account for inflation and rising supplier costs.
This is standard practice across the industry and helps maintain service quality and network investment.
