The energy usage section of your Rebel Energy bill
This section shows how much electricity and/or gas you've used during the specified billing period. It’s measured in kWh (kilowatt hours) and is compared to the previous billing period.
👉 Tip: If you're unsure about your usage or think it's higher than usual, check your meter readings. Rebel Energy uses these to calculate your bill. However, if your bill is based on an estimated reading, there may be discrepancies.
This part of your bill shows your energy usage for the billing period.
In the example, electricity usage starts at 9,063 and ends at 9,698, totalling 635 kilowatts. Multiply this by the unit rate (24.37p per kilowatt) to get £154.74. Adding daily standing charges gives the total electricity bill.
Gas usage is calculated slightly differently due to a conversion, but the process is the same: usage (1,262 kilowatts) multiplied by the unit rate (5.96p), plus standing charges, gives a total of £84.66.
Add both electricity and gas charges for the total monthly bill.
