What happens when I move out?
When your tenancy comes to an end and you move out, we’ll handle the process of closing your account smoothly as soon as you've completed your moving home form. This includes notifying suppliers and sending you a final bill, which typically takes around 8 to 10 weeks. Make sure to submit your final meter readings to help avoid delays.
What to expect when your tenancy ends
Here’s what happens next:
- We notify your suppliers
Once your tenancy ends, we contact all relevant utility providers (such as gas, electricity, and water) to let them know you’ve moved out. - Final meter readings are needed
Please make sure to submit your final meter readings on the last day of your tenancy.
📌 Tip: Take clear photos of your meters for your records and submit them via your online account or by email. - Return any equipment
If you have internet as part of your package, you’ll need to return any equipment such as routers back to your provider. We’ll let you know the process of this, or you can ask us to start the returns process as soon as you’re ready. - Your final bill
Your final bill will be issued once all supplier updates and readings have been processed.
⏳ Note: This can take 8 to 10 weeks, as we rely on updates from third parties before the bill can be finalised. - Refunds or final payments
If your account is in credit, we’ll arrange a refund to your chosen payment method. If there’s a balance to pay, we’ll let you know with plenty of time.
⚠️ Reminder: If you forget to submit meter readings, your final charges may be based on estimates — which could be higher than your actual usage.
We aim to make this process as stress-free as possible, and we're always here to help if you have any questions.
