Important information
The supply contract is arranged through The Student Energy Group Ltd trading as Do Energy who work with a number of licensed suppliers.
Homebox is a third party intermediary and does not supply electricity or gas. We provide a bills management service; as part of this service when signing up to the Homebox Energy Unlimited tariff to enable access to this tariff we agree to manage the relationship with the Supplier and their agent on Your behalf.
We will set up an account with Do Energy for your property who will transfer your Electricity Supply and any Gas Supply to their chosen supplier. The account will be in our name (Billing Better Ltd); we will bill you each month and collect the agreed amount from your household e-money account.
You will make payments to Homebox and you are liable to pay Us for the total annual standing charge, in equal monthly payments. We receive a commission from the agent while you are on this tariff which is included in the Daily Standing Charge you pay.
Unlimited Energy is a more expensive way to pay for energy. The product serves a purpose to customers looking for a simple and fixed monthly payment but should not be used if you’re looking to save money and reduce your monthly outgoings. In order to cover the risk of higher energy consumption, Homebox charge an increased monthly payment amount to ensure that a flat monthly payment can be honoured throughout a tenancy.

Tariff terms
This tariff is only available to Customers who:
 ➤ do not have one or more prepayment meters;
 ➤ are a domestic customer for the fuel supply of electricity and if applicable gas.
 ➤ have an electricity meter which is either a single rate, economy 7 or a smart meter operating in credit mode.
We reserve the right to move you onto a Standard Variable Tariff and be billed on usage henceforth for reasons including but not limited to:
 ➤ Your Property consistently using more energy than we expect a property of your size to be consuming based on seasonality assumptions according to our Fair Usage Policy;
 ➤ The number of tenants residing at the property exceeds the number advised at the point of contract;
 ➤ You have not provided Meter Readings every 60 days or upon request.
We will give you 21 days’ notice before this change comes into effect.
Cancellation and termination
You can cancel your Subscription within 14 days of signing up. You should email us or send us the Model Cancellation Form that is available from the Homebox Terms of Service. You will be required to pay for any electricity and gas you have used. We will refund you within 14 days of confirming your final bill when using your cooling-off rights.
You may cancel at any time by providing us with 30 days notice by contacting us and paying an early termination fee of £60 per fuel (£120 where you are supplied with both Electricity and Gas). This represents the exit fee for ending the Homebox Energy Unlimited Tariff early and is paid to the agent. It does not include any other exit or cancellation fees.
When cancelling early you will no longer be eligible for the Homebox Energy Unlimited tariff; where your actual usage exceeds the annual fair usage figures on a pro-rota basis we reserve the right to charge you for the excess usage at the standard variable rate.
At the end of your 12 month period, no final bill be issued which will means there is no further payments to make or refunds due back to You.
Tariff rate and Fair use policy
Energy usage should be strictly for personal and household purposes within your residential property. The energy supplied and the meter should not be used for any unlawful purposes or to set up or operate a business for yourself or others. We may monitor your energy usage to ensure compliance with these terms. If your energy consumption exceeds our expected levels for a property of your size, based on seasonality assumptions, we may contact you for clarification.
You may be required to confirm your usage and provide information on the property’s specifications (e.g., number of bedrooms) or supply supporting documents, such as your tenancy agreement. The energy and meter should not be used unlawfully or to set up or operate a business for you or anyone else.
We outline the anticipated usage in the table below, where occupancy is the based on the number of people living in the property, or the number of bedrooms, whichever is greater.
